Mark Musselman

As former CEO of a 300-employee, privately owned business that embraced executive and organizational development, Mark knows firsthand the impact of the consulting services. Now, as an Executive Coach with Colman & Company he supports other business leaders to achieve personal and professional excellence in the areas of strategic team planning, human and organizational productivity, and team dynamics.

Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in executive management positions, Mark’s corporate experience includes leading high powered sales teams, leading through corporate restructuring, and developing leadership within an organization. Mark has a Bachelor of the Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is a certified life coach, keynote speaker, and loves learning all there is to learn about leadership. Mark is a Former CEO of a 300 employee, $25M privately owned business.  Mark served in this capacity for 7 years from January 2001 – May 2007.  While functioning as CEO Mark became a member of the international CEO development organization TEC/Vistage.  Mark is Certified in the areas of Corporate Strategic Planning Facilitation, Keynote Speaking, Creating a Culture of Accountability and Leadership,, and Business & Life Leadership Coaching.  Mark is also the Author of Secular Ministry: Leading with Love (to be published in the fall of 2010), and the founder of The Strategy Institute.

Over the course of the last 20 years Mark has developed a range of skills, experiences and qualities that have added significant value to a wide number of organizations and individuals.  Mark’s core strengths and experiences are centered in organizational and team leadership, sales, negotiations, and business development activities.  Mark has also been directly responsible for marketing, product development, customer service, operations, and human resources.  Mark is probably most commonly acknowledged for his skills as a powerful communicator, a creative problem solver, his work ethic, his energy and enthusiasm, and his orientation towards strategy development, and a “glass is half-full” approach to life and business.  Mark is highly proficient and extremely comfortable and confident in public speaking situations.  Mark has traveled, both domestically and internationally, as a part of his work life for the past 20 years.

Mark prefers to work with businesses and individuals that clearly articulate a core set of values that reflect his belief in the human spirit.  Mark prefers to generate engagements with companies and individuals that seek to “make a difference”, not just a living, in the world.  Mark believes we are embarking on a period in time when corporate and executive leadership goals and aspirations will fundamentally transform from an inherited model of autocratic, top down, management to one of shared collaberation around an aligned organizational purpose.
