Wendy Mack is an expert on leading and communicating change. As a Colman & Company consultant and facilitator she specializes in working with leaders who are looking for ways to address the fear, inertia, confusion and resistance that are often associated with change. In all of her engagements, Wendy’s focus is on ensuring that the right people have the right conversations to move their organization forward.
Wendy has devoted her work to the intersection of change, communication, and leadership since 2008. In that time, she has provided consulting support to executives, senior leaders, and change implementation teams from organizations such as The Nature Conservancy, the U.S. Geological Survey, and iContact. In addition, firms such as OSI Restaurant Partners and Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital have hired Wendy to design and deliver change leadership programs for their senior teams, while ManTech International and others have relied on Wendy to create custom keynotes for staff who are dealing with constant change.
As founder and president of T3 Consulting from 2000 – 2007, Wendy led a team that helped dozens of companies such as Northrop Grumman, Freddie Mac, and AOL with the engagement and training aspects of change initiatives. Wendy and the T3 team also created customized leadership development programs, performance management tools, and employee brand-awareness campaigns for a variety of clients in the high-tech, not-for-profit, and government services industries.
From 1996 -2000, Wendy was director of Training and Development Services for HumanR.
In this capacity, she led a team of consultants who developed and delivered customer service, performance management, sales, interviewing, and new hire training programs. Wendy also facilitated focus groups, conducted and analyzed exit interviews, and designed employee surveys. Prior to joining HumanR, Wendy designed and delivered sales training programs for Huthwaite, Inc. She began her career in training with the Berlitz Language Center in Washington, D.C. where her responsibilities as the Method Director included hiring, training, and supervising a staff of more than 60 instructors.
Wendy has appeared on television and is often cited as a subject matter expert in the press. Her publications include her three books: Change at the Core, Plugging into Passions, and Perfect Phrases for Leadership Development as well as scores of articles and numerous e-books.
Wendy holds a master of arts degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Maryland. She is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators and she serves on the board of the Colorado chapter of the National Speakers Association. She and her husband reside in Colorado.
